Two prototypes were made with factory V8 engines. GMHs response regarding these cars were, "They never existed".
In fact they did exist. Production Serial Number (PSN) L199912 (Prototype 1) was registered by Holden in September of 1972 and used by Peter Brock as a daily driver. The Lone O Ranger car was stolen in 1985 and has never been seen again.
